We will be discontinuing support for the Chrome web app version of Yard Guard Mobile in early 2018. We appologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
Unfortunately, this decision is outside of our control. Google has decided that they will no longer support Chrome web apps within the Chrome browser on the Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. As such, we will no longer be able to offer our Chrome web app when Google removes this functionality.
The following is a statement from Google regarding their timeline for the removal of this functionality:
In the second half of 2017, the Chrome Web Store will no longer show Chrome apps on Windows, Mac, and Linux, but will continue to surface extensions and themes. In early 2018, users on these platforms will no longer be able to load Chrome apps.
What this means is that starting sometime in July, you will no longer be able to install the Chrome version of Yard Guard Mobile on a new computer. You will, however, be able to receive updates to Yard Guard Mobile if you already have it installed. And we will continue to provide updates to Yard Guard Mobile for Chrome through the end of 2017.
Sometime around January 2018, you will no longer be able to run the Chrome web app version of Yard Guard Mobile. Our guess is that it will simply disappear from Chrome along with any other Chrome web apps you may have installed. As such, any projects that you have stored in the app will no longer be accessible. We strongly suggest that you export from the app, any projects that you wish to keep the information for before the end of 2017.
For Windows users, we recommend that you switch to our Windows 10 version of Yard Guard Mobile that is available in the Microsoft Store.
